Julia's Testimony of Salvation

When Julia was baptised in September, she had the opportunity to share how she came to know the Lord as her personal Saviour. As her parents, we found it a special moment to hear her explain, in her own words, how she came to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Julia also wanted to share her testimony on our blog, and we’re happy to share it! We’re thankful for the Lord’s work in her heart and for everyone who has faithfully prayed for our children over the years. Your prayers mean more to us than you may realise, and we hope you’ll rejoice with us in God’s goodness and faithfulness as you read her testimony.

Julia's Testimony of Salvation

Six years ago, I accepted Christ as my Saviour.  It was during the Lockdown when my mommy and pappa started making animated Bible lesson videos for the children in our church, for example, Bible characters like David and Goliath, well-known missionaries like Hudson Taylor, and Sunday School Charlie (that one was my favourite). At the end of each video, my mommy would share the Gospel message. When she did that, it got me thinking. I understood the difference between right and wrong, and that because I didn’t always do the right thing, I was a sinner. The Bible lessons helped me realise that I was born a sinner and that I needed Someone to save me. That Someone is Jesus!

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Jesus died on the cross and rose again for EVERYONE, including ME!

I was five years old when I accepted Christ as my Saviour. I sat on my bed with my little New Testament Bible, and after my mommy shared the ‘Romans Road’ with me and some other verses, I prayed and asked the Lord to forgive me of my sin. Believing that He died and rose again, I accepted Christ into my heart. I was so happy! I remember telling everyone in my family!

Now that I have accepted Christ as my Saviour and obeyed the Lord through believers’ baptism, I want to keep following Him and growing as a Christian, doing my best to become more like Christ. My favourite verse in the Bible to help me do that is:

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Thank you for praying for me.
