The Carolinas

This past month we were privileged to present our ministry to two more churches, both of these churches are located in South Carolina. What made these churches extra special to us is that we were reconnected with friends that Michelle had not seen in many years and that I had not met yet. I had heard many humorous stories of college years about one pastor because he and my father-in-law were roommates during those years and I also learned through these stories what a godly example he was to Michelle’s dad. I eagerly waited to meet these great Christian men and their families. We had an encouraging time with these churches and left each one thanking the Lord for the blessing the congregations were to us as a family.

Our home and sending church, Friendship Baptist of Raleigh, North Carolina has also been such a blessing to us while we have been on deputation these past months. We have enjoyed being taught by our pastor, Pastor Vradenburgh, from God’s Word.  Friendship Baptist has also enriched us spiritually by their various ministries, including the Sunday school hour and the uplifting music ministry. We have also enjoyed getting to know some very special families within the church. The families that have children the same age as Ruan have been a blessing to us by giving all three of us special fellowship time together. These families love for the Lord is evident in all that they do for Him and they have been a genuine blessing to us!

Although traveling many miles across the East Coast of the United States can be physically difficult at times (especially for Michelle, being six and half months pregnant) the Lord has always encouraged us just when we’ve needed the encouragement. We thank Him for His love and care for our family and thank you for praying for us as we’ve ventured out on this new adventure of our lives! Please pray for our need for financial support.
