Count Your Blessings

"Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings see what God hath done"

The last six weeks have been filled with many blessings. The Lord has greatly encouraged us by showing Deon & I how we can be used to minister for Him in the town of Malmesbury.

Swartland Baptiste Gemeente Youth Night
Every second Friday night we invite the children of Swartland Baptist Church and their friends to a fun filled evening of games, snacks and a study from God's Word. We have been pleased to see how faithful the children have been in attending and in bringing their friends from school. The "coolest" time has been when we had a Water Sports Night. The kids couldn't stop laughing and screaming. Deon taught on Hebrews 11:1 and through the discussion time was given the opportunity to share the gospel.

I scream, You scream, We all scream for
 ICE-CREAM!
On two Sunday mornings during the month of February we were given the privilege of sharing our ministry to the people of Faith Baptist Church and Tygerberg Baptiste Gemeente. Deon was able to share with these congregations the ministry the Lord has placed on our hearts. We would like to thank these churches for the encouragement they've been to us in that we should continue keeping on keeping for the Lord.

Deputation Ministry
1. When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

2. Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will be singing as the days go by.

3. When you look at others with their lands and gold, think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold; Count your many blessings, money cannot buy Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

4. So, amid the conflict, whether great or small, Do not be discouraged, God is over all; Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

The Lord has carried us through our "life's billows", our burdens and has provided for us in so many ways. It seemed fit to be singing this song as I worked around the house this week. I thank the Lord for His many blessings the ones we can see and those we may not see.
